NWAV / Co-organization of the Institute of Social Work of Nigeria (ISOWN) National Conference, November 26-28, 2020

The INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL WORK OF NIGERIA, in collaboration with the Nigerian Women Association Verona, from the 26th to 28th of November 2020 will be engaging Stakeholders, Social Work experts and Desk Officers from across Nigeria as well as the General Public to its 11th Annual Conference.

Due to to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, the event will be held online.

Besides having had a key role in inviting experts from various disciplines (law, sociology, social services) as a key speakers for the Conference, NWA-Verona is responsible for:

  • presenting INsigHT Action and the Help-Desk activated by NWA in Lagos,  during the Conference Opening
  • co-organiser of the first day of the Confernce (Friday 27th of November), focussing on “Human Trafficking and the evolving dynamics of voluntary return”
  • promoting on Saturday 28th of November the field visit for senior social workers and post-graduate students to NWA Help Desk in Lagos, active since September 2019 thanks to the Action INSigHT.
